The Pink House

“The Pink House”, located at 17 Chalmers Street, is one of the oldest buildings (and one of the most perfect for making in miniature) in Charleston.  While it is currently painted pink, the house was built out of Bermuda stone and gets its name from the pinkish hue of the original stone.

Over the years the house has been a brothel, a tavern, and (the last time I visited) an art gallery.  The house was recently up for sale, giving us wonderful glimpses into the interior with its paneling and beautiful fireplaces.
